Delta Xi Nu Multicultural Sorority was established at Texas A&M University by five women who saw a need to promote friendship, diversity, and cultural awareness at the university and in the surrounding community. They envisioned an organization where women of all cultures would feel welcome, create lasting friendships, and educate and serve the community.

The founding mothers are Rena Kharbat, Jaime Slaughter, Jetje Brewton, Adrienne Magirl, and Lesliam Quiros. Being Palestinian, African American, Dutch, Irish/Mexican, and Puerto Rican, the founding mothers wanted to show the world that it was their differences that had brought them together and made them stronger.

All their hard work became a reality when Delta Xi Nu Sorority was finally recognized as a student organization on October 7, 1997.

Chapter History

It all began in Fall 2005 when 10 girls came together little by litte to form a great bond! Amazing how they all ended up together! Everyone has a story behind how they became part of a soon to be great organization. With the help of others, 10 girls became known as S.T.A.R.S, Standing Together Against Racial Segregation! With time and a lot of commitment, S.T.A.R.S. shared a bond so strong that no one could compare.  On March 25, 2006, S.T.A.R.S. became official founding sisters of Delta Xi Nu Multicultural Sorority-Epsilon Colony. As the journey continued the family continued to grow.  On April 19, 2008, Epsilon became an official chapter of Delta Xi Nu Multicultural Sorority, Inc.
